Introduction

Definition

The Holders, who own their personal data, can store them in the Identity Wallet and selectively share them with others to prove their identity, skills, and achievements. For example, a user holds a digital certification of an online programming course which he can show to prove that he passed that course. Another example is holding a digital version of the identity card, by doing this, users can be assured that their identity is always available even when they lost their physical identity card.

What can you do as with a "Holder" identity?

  • Create a DID

  • Request/Accept Claims

  • Backup/Recover Claims

  • Generate ZKP for Attestations

  • Share attestation verification results

These actions can be performed through the Holder Portal of the Identity Platform, or by direct integration through the Identity SDK.
